Test Pilot

Almost all my flying years I had opportunity to fly new build experimental aircrafts, fixed wing and gyroplanes. Recently in South Africa to legalize my activity I obtained the Test Pilot Ratings for aircrafts up to 2700 kg maximum take off weight. 

Steve Boshoff designed and constructed this nice looking aircraft. Named "SB-2" and just recently completed a bit of painful test flights. Test flights were frustrating by continuous engine problems. But after many "try and fly exercises" I am happy to fly this aircraft and presently we are going about giving the conversion training to Steve.

SB-2 has got the wings from well known KR-2, but the fuselage is bigger and new design. Quite roomy two seater powered by VW 2.0 turbocharged engine. Impressive performance; stalls at 47 mph, cruise with the boost 29 inch 120 mph. Fuel consumption about 8 l/h car unleaded.
