Our Family

This photo is made 25 December 2007 Our Christmas this year was at home and we enjoyed family time together. From left; Caroline, just about 16 birthday (31 Dec.); Grazyna,  (Mirek) and Matthew just three months to his 23st birthday.

We emigrated to South Africa about 15 years ago. First myself and then Grazyna and Matthew joined me in May 1990. This is a bit longer story to explain how difficult it was to emigrate from one of the East Block stronghold - socialist Poland. Enough to say, that I left Poland officially as a tourist to visit Spain. On my way I stopped in West Germany and after about three months later I landed in Johannesburg Jan Smuts Airport. It was beautiful hot and sunny afternoon 8 of November 1988. I started new life, full of optimism and hopes in spite of no language, no friends and "initial capital" of 50 German Marks in my pocket. It was just a few months after my 31 birthday and I hoped to see my wife and three year old son in few months time...They joined me almost two years later. I love to talk, then surely will be more stories about this time in our family life soon, somewhere on our Home Page.
