26 June 2009 Mirek Zalewski completed first test flight on our Bucker -TA 131 "Jungmann". This great day happened after almost two years since "Jungmann" arrived to South Africa. Aircraft is registered on 303 Squadron Flight School name but belong to two partners and will take time before we will finish all test flights and decide about fait of our project. There is motion from my partners to sale "Jungmann". Our family would be very kin to keep this most beautiful aircraft in South Africa in our hangar and fly it all of around air shows.
April 2010, second unit of SW-18 "Teddy" left factory "Skyworx" in Krugersdorp. Kevin said me that he is still able and very kin build more "Teddy" aircraft. Obviously all depend on market response.
In October 2009 Matthew completed his Commercial Pilot Licence flight test and 22.10.09 collected from SA CAA his CPL with IFR single engine airplane.
Congratulations from all of our family!
In December 2009 Caroline started her gyrocopter training on MT-03, our school machine. It was big fun for me to be her instructor for a few hours during my small holiday in South Africa. Now Caroline will be doing parallel gyrocopter and fixed wing training with the plan to train her as a gyrocopter instructor for our family flight school.
From October 2009 I am in Greece, flying for "Olympic Airlines" as a contract captain on Dash 8/102. Contract flying in Spain finished due to ugly economical crisis and I was just about to come back to SA then I get offer to fly for "Olympic"...good adventure, but not for ever. I miss my family and our 303 Squadron. My soul and thoughts are always with them.
